,a fast-rising star in the world of lensmen is an IIT graduate-turned-full-time-photographer. His interpretation of what meets the eye has always wowed his viewers. His photoblog on Flickr, a daily photograph with an associated story that he published for 3 years, earned him legions of fans. Dev’s mastery lies in how his lens portrays people – be it at events, in portfolios or during his travels. His eye for the candid smile and the off-the-record moments is what sets his work apart from his contemporaries.

Today, Dev has successfully made a place for himself as an acclaimed photographer. In 2009, he won a vote-based contest based on his popularity to photograph the Kingfisher Calendar Launch.

He is now ubiquitous at major fashion and entertainment events. In 2010, Dev covered the Chennai, Bangalore and Lakme Fashion Weeks as well as the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. His works have been published in DNA, Deccan Herald and MegaModelz magazine, to name a few. He has judged various competitions including IIM Bangalore’s photography competition and he has conducted photography workshops in IIT Kharagpur and IIM Bangalore.

In 2010, he was nominated in “behind the scenes” category in the “Wedding photographer of the year” contest conducted by BetterPhotography magazine. His creative eye for capturing the Candid details at weddings got his work featured on Kodak Weddingsutra website. And he has become one of the most sought after wedding photographers in the country.

Besides photography, Dev is a skilled rangoli designer, actor, storyteller, animator and craftsman.

    Hi I live in Amsterdam and married a Dutch man 2 years ago in Samode. Hardly having lived in India I scouted and scouted for a good photographer and at the end asked a talented friend to take some pics, which were nice…
    But when I saw the pics posted on FB on my dear friend, Abhinaya Shetty’s sister Amritha’s wedding – I want to get married all over again for the pics!
    You have a great talent and if you ever pass by this part of the world, let me know – I would love commission some potraits!
